Taiko is a zk Rollup-based L2 solution and is currently the most useful project according to Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum. 🌟
💸 Free Tokens, Anyone?
Just recently, we got an airdrop from the project for testing their testnet, where they handed out a mere 5% of their tokens. Now, there’s a fresh buzz with the new Trailblazers mainnet activity. The project has generously allocated 10% of the tokens or a whopping 100 million TAIKO. Yesterday, they announced the launch of the first Trailblazers season, allocating 12 million TAIKO from this pool to last three months. 🎉
🏆 How the Rewards are Split:
- For users: 9 million TAIKO
- For top performers at level 13 and 14: 1 million TAIKO
- For projects: 2 million TAIKO
🛠 How to Earn These Tokens
You’ll need to complete various tasks on the Taiko mainnet, spend some $$$ on fees, and farm those points!
XP Farming Strategies:
- High-cost way: Bridge ETH from Ethereum Mainnet through the official bridge.
- Low-cost way: Bridge any tokens from any networks via Owlto. Lock liquidity in various pools, and remember, volume and transaction numbers (ETH and USDC) matter!
📈 Multipliers and Badges
You can earn a multiplier from x1.1 to x2.14 by earning badges—there are eight in total. Grab one badge per week, each giving a x1.1 boost. Badges are also tradable. Selling one drops your XP multiplier by x1.1, but buying boosts your past and future XP by the same rate.
Important XP Info:
- The more XP, the higher your level.
- The higher your level, the better the drop.
- Daily XP caps per category.
- All XP resets at the end of the season with a small boost.
- Galxe participant points are already converted into XP.
🚀 What to Do Right Now:
- Go to the site, click “Connect wallet”.
- Connect your wallet on the Taiko Mainnet.
- Click “Start now”.
- Connect your Twitter and complete tasks.
- Claim your XP for Galxe and all available badges.
📅 First Season Ends: September 12, 2024.
XP from Bridges:
I moved 0.001 ETH through Owlto from ZkSync, paid around $0.8 in fees, and earned 560 points, bumping me to level 7 (higher is better). XP from Galxe will show up in your main stats about an hour later.
Cost and Benefits:
I’ll start participating and monitor expenses and the potential value of these badges. So far, XP is only given for bridging from other networks, so that’s the best bet. Aim for levels 13-14 for a shot at the 1 million TAIKO reward. As more cost-effective ways to farm XP emerge, I’ll keep you updated in my articles.
